Day 8: 2-13-18 Tuesday

It's been 1 week today since starting Levo.  I still feel an overall improvement in my mood and energy level.  I actually have the energy to go throughout my day without constantly feeling overwhelmed with small tasks.  My sex drive has picked up.  I haven't felt like this in a long long time.  Actually in about 11-12 years if I had to guess.  I haven't weighed yet today.  I am hoping this renewed energy will help me lose weight.  I have hope again.  It's a great feeling!  I am starting to feel like the old me.  I have a "pep in my step" so to speak.  I woke up with a headache this morning, but I think that may be due to the weather.  After some coffee, a bagel, and 3 Advil it seems to be better.  I work the afternoon shift today.  Guess I need to get ready. Even my vision seems sharper.  Maybe it's the fact I don't feel like I'm in a fog all day long... like I'm a zombie.  It's a wonderful feeling to...

Day 4: 02-09-18 Friday

I continue my normal morning routine.  I am off work again today.  I feel better than I have felt in years.  I feel like I could be productive.  The night sweats are not as bad.  So far I feel like the medicine is having a positive effect even though it is a very low dose.  Even my bowels seem to be doing better.  I am going to the bathroom more frequently and it feels easier to go. I had 2 pig in a blankets and some rice pilaf for lunch.

Day 3: 02-08-18 Thursday

Wt: 184.0 - I am down 9 lbs.  I'm off work today.  I get up and take my Levo.  Again, I make sure to wait 30 minutes before having coffee and my allergy meds. I feel better this morning.  More alert.  I don't feel like I want to crawl in bed.  My mom calls and asks if I want to go run errands with her which will include a trip to Walmart for groceries.  Since I need to go anyway, I decide to.  Amazingly, I do really well.  We go to the pet store, Walgreens, another store, and to Walmart.  Normally a trip to Walmart alone exhausts me, but this time I am able to run all these errands much more easily.  When we get home, I begin preparing supper without feeling like I need a nap first.  It has been years since I have been able to do all this in one day without feeling like I would pass out.  Even my thoughts seem more clear... like a fog is lifting.  We have supper, and I clean up all the dishes without help.  A...

Day 2: 02-07-18 Wednesday

Wt: 185.6 I got up and took my meds first thing this morning on an empty stomach like it recommends.  I waited about 30 minutes and had my morning coffee and took my allergy meds (Zyrtec and Singulair).  I went to work at 12:30.  I feel ok this morning.  Nothing drastically different yet.  Maybe mildly better.  Work went well and I came home and had supper.  I am anxious to see if I will lose weight.

Day 1: 02-06-18 Tuesday

I picked up my Levo on my way to work.  I did not have to start work until 2:00 pm.  I went ahead an took my first dose around 1:20 when I got the meds to get it in my system.  I worked my normal afternoon and went home.  Not much else to say yet.

02-05-2018 Monday - Overview

This blog is will be a journal of my health progress.   I'd like to preface this blog with a little back story.  I am currently 33 years old.  For the past 10-12 years or so, I have felt like something was wrong with me.  During my third year of college, I noticed I was beginning to feel tired all the time.  No matter how much I slept, exercised, tried to eat better, etc, nothing helped.  I also started gaining weight despite my efforts to lose weight or not gain anymore. As time went on, my symptoms worsened.  At first I thought it was my metabolism naturally slowing down with age, but I soon realized that was not the case.  Every year that passed, I gained more weight despite trying desperately not to.  Just for reference, my starting weight was 135 when I was 20.  I am 5'3'' and was fairly healthy at that size.  Over the course of the past 12 years, my weight has peaked at 193.  Even when I have starved myself for weeks, I...
